CTS library moved our database to the more stable database server. This will resolve the issue of sluggish response of CTS Moodle site. You will enjoy quicker loading of pages.
And CTS library launched "digital library". http://www.ctslibrary.org/Dlib/index.php The more contents will be added. Now you can find in the collection CTS old buildings, CTS Charter Constitution 1856, and Memoir of Dr. Kenneth B. Smith.

CTS Library is glad to announce that one of the biggest academic database (EBSCOhost) is added to our collection. EBSCOhost is a gateway to numerous online journal databases, including Academic Search Premier and others related to Newspaper, Education, Business, Health, Goverment, and Reference Sources. For religious and theological research, Academic Search Premier is the most useful resource in the database. Academic Seearch Premier contains indexing, abstracts, and full-text for more than 8,200 journals, covering a wide range of academic subjects such as humanities, social sciences, religion and theology, biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, etc. In addition, Newspaper Sources provides full text for 28 national (U.S.) and international newspapers and full text television & radio news transcripts.

1. Find the link to databases in CTS library website, http://www.ctslibrary.org/find/database.php.
2. Click EBSCOhost or Academic Search Premier.
3. Use User ID and Password (contact a librarian)
4. Click either "Selected - Hammond Library" or "EBSCOhost - All Databases".

CTS library added index of Boisen Paper Collection into the library website, http://www.ctslibrary.org/collections/special_col.php. The Boisen Paper Collection houses his pulications, papers, book reviews, mimeographic records, reserach data, case studies, and photographs. Most of documents are contained in five file cabinets. The recent update of the index covers four cabinets. The library is still working on the final cabinet.

Anton T. Boisen, once a faculty of CTS, is well known as a pioneering figure in the hospital chaplaincy and clinical pastoral care. Our Boisen Collection is very valuable for scholars who research on his life and idea. We are so glad to announce this update.

The CTS library is so excited to announce that Religious and Theological Abstracts (R&TA) is now available online for all CTS community. R&TA is one of the largest index database in the area of religion and theology. It provides scholarly abstracts of published journal articles, covering more than 500 journals, with more than 5000 abstracts added to the database annually. It covers years from 1957 to present. Check the journal titles indexed in this database at http://rtabstracts.org/journals-we-abstract.php. The topics of selections are very comprehensive, including biblical, theological, historical, and practical theology. As an example, I search Chicago Theological Seminary Register with selecting the title from the advanced search drop down list. I found 257 abstracts with the title. Hope that you have a fun to use this database to search your research topic.

The library made a decision to do an ongoing library booksale. From now on, you can always find used books available to purchase at the right hand of the fireplace in the library reading room. Find "Book Sale" sign and price. Make paymenet at the circulation desk.

The library launched a new website. Visit http://www.ctslibrary.org/. You will see that it provides many useful links into sundry resources as well as such on-line services like interlibrary loan, course syllabi, on-line course management systems (i.e., Moodle), and new book requests.
